Barnabas Okwudibie is a seasoned financial services executive with over 20 years of leadership experience spanning banking, microfinance, digital financial services, and insurance. As Managing Director of Cowry Finance, he provides strategic leadership and operational oversight, driving sustainable growth, innovation, and disciplined execution across the institution.

He is recognised for building high-performance commercial teams, strengthening operational frameworks, and scaling business lines in competitive markets. His leadership style blends strategic foresight with tactical precision, translating corporate vision into measurable financial and operational results.

Before joining Cowry Finance, Barnabas held senior leadership roles at Vale Finance Limited, RexAfrica, BankSofri (Links MFB/DLM Capital Group), Sovereign Finance, and Renmoney MFB. He also built foundational expertise at AXA Mansard, Zenith Bank, Ecobank, and Unity Bank, with experience spanning credit, operations, customer management, and enterprise sales leadership.

Throughout his career, he has led transformative growth initiatives including multi-channel sales expansion, digital product deployment, regional branch rollouts, and accelerated balance sheet growth. He has expanded retail footprints across major Nigerian markets and established structured Sales Academies that enhanced productivity for teams of over 350 professionals.

Barnabas holds a B.Sc. (Ed), MBA, MM&S, and MSc, and is a fellow/member of several professional bodies, including AMNIM, FIPMA, FCILRM, and FICA.
